This is the Australian Property Institute which is the main organisational base for Valuers and other independent property advisory professionals in Australia. A google search of the API can provide details of its purpose, membership and activities.

This institute had former names including the Australian Institute of Valuers (AIV) and The Australian Institute of Valuers and Land Economists (AIVLE). Over the past 50 to 100 years this has been the only significant institute in Australia for Property Valuers.

Ongoing membership to the API is quite onerous and requires substantial minimum standards of professional development annually.

The API is also quite active with property education and various specialised courses and accreditation for property professionals.
